When does 4K meet?
Our 4-year-old kindergarten program meets five days a week. If there is sufficient interest we will offer both a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session will run from 8-11 and the afternoon session would run from 12:15-3:15.

Where are you located?
The Lake Country Academy campus is located on the north side of Sheboygan. We are near Hwy. #42 and Interstate #43, approximately ½ mile north of Hardees/Comfort Inn on North 40th Street (also known as Dairyland Drive).

Is Direct Instruction compatible with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles?
All styles of learning are incorporated into this method, which is why it is so effective with all children. Visual learners can see the charts and graphics. Auditory learners respond well to the teacher's verbal cues and kinesthetic students are engaged by hands-on and physical activities.

We ask each student to complete the work in school so teachers can monitor the child's progress to ensure the child has mastered the material. We prefer not to have the child struggle at home or perform the task incorrectly only to return the next day to “unlearn” the wrong material and “relearn” the correct material.

The optimal number of students in each classroom is 10 for 4K and 22 for 5K-8th Grade. The average teacher/student ratio in our Direct Instruction ability groupings is 1:7.
